as a ticketing agent in 1972, we have expanded significantly into
other areas of the travel business. Today, the Holiday Tours Group has
17 operating entities in 11 countries and over 700 staff.

subsidiary, Qantas Holidays, acquired a major share in Holiday Tours
& Travel in 1984. To further strengthen our range of services,
Holiday Tours & Travel acquired Tour East in 1996, a leading
regional destination management company that offers a very strong client
base in Australia, UK/Europe, Asia and USA. |

leisure travel is one of the Group's strategic business units and we are
firmly established as a leader in this sector. We offer total
flexibility in accommodation, mode of transport, sightseeing, choice of
carriers and departure dates. Our wide range of travel products and
strong representation in many parts of Asia make us an undisputed
industry leader.
As
the leisure arm of Qantas Airways, we offer a variety of holiday
packages that span the Qantas Airways' network, under the brand of
Qantas Holidays. Under the Jetabout Holidays branding, we work with many
leading Asian carriers to provide a powerful synergy that can greatly
benefit our clients.
We
also represent some of the world's leading travel companies, such as
Trafalgar Tours, one of Europe's top operators - in Singapore, Malaysia
and Thailand. We serve as General Sales Agent for Qantas Airways and Australian
Airlines - in Taiwan, Korea and Vietnam; and Marketing Sales Agent for
Air Pacific, Fiji's international carrier.
In
addition to direct retailing, our products are distributed through a network
of marketing intermediaries. With our high volume, we are able to pass
on cost savings to our customers through better pricing and value-added

DESTINATION
MANAGEMENT
Operating
under Tour East, our Destination Management division offers expert
ground handling arrangements throughout Asia. Our experience and
in-depth knowledge of the destinations form the foundation of our
extensive selection of services and tour programmes. These include meet
and greets, accommodations, sightseeing tours, lifestyle packages,
regional tours, multilingual tour guides and transportation.
